Over the last few years, The Fig House at Middleton Lodge has become one of my favourite venues. Along with the likes of Eden Barn, I know that every time I get to The Fig House I’m going to have a stress free, awesome day. It’s just one of those magical venues thats always a breeze to shoot at. And what goes hand in hand with a super cool, relaxed venue? A couple who mirror that vibe! Ellie & James have been a delight to work with since they first got in touch for booking. They were planning a relaxed and candid celebration in the summer sun surrounded by their closest friends and family and this is exactly what they got.
The morning flew by where I spent some time with both Ellie and her bridesmaid whilst they sipped on champagne and James and his groomsmen whilst he gave them custom made ties. I also spent some time documenting all the details and the decor, which is always different and unique no matter how many times I’ve shot at Middleton Lodge.
As the weather was so gorgeous it made sense for E & J to have the ceremony outside. After which they celebrated with their guests before we were able to slip away for some portraits. The gardens at The Fig House are one of my favourites as it doesn’t matter what time of year it is, it’s always stunning. I’d already done an engagement session with these guys earlier in the year so I knew they would kill it with their portraits.
As the sun came down the party did anything but slow down and after speeches and cake cutting is was time to hit the dance floor. And these guys can move and throw shapes with the best of them!
This was another incredible day over at The Fig House with a great set of guests and an even better couple. As always a massive thank you to the team at Middleton Lodge and to all the suppliers involved and all my love goes to Ellie & James.
