Sedgewell Barn Wedding Photographer ~ Georgina & Jimmy

One of my favourite parts of my job is traveling the country and finding new venues that I can fall in love with and 2022 seemed to be the year of new venues for me. Whether it was Barn On The Bay in Northumberland or Owen House in Cheshire, I was discovering a whole load of venues that are relatively new. And whilst all these venues are amazing I get even more excited when new and venue open up right on my doorstep like Sedgewell Barn. Sedgewell Barn is located in North Yorkshire and is absolutely stunning, offering pretty much a blank canvas for couples to truly make their own. And thats exactly what Jimmy and Georgina did.
I arrived on the morning for bridal preparations and within about 10 minutes of being with the bridal party and Georgina, I knew this was going to be a great day. These guys were so fun to be around and it makes capturing those candid moments even easier. After hair and make up, I made my way over to the venue to meet Jimmy and his groomsmen and to get a good look at the venue. I’ve know Jimmy for a long time and was super excited to see what he had up his sleeve for the evening entertainment, on a side note Jimmy is an absolute machine of a drummer who has been in a variety of bands since I’ve known him.
The ceremony was a rollercoaster of emotion filled with laughter and tears galore before we headed out for confetti provided by Pedro the confetti pony. The rest of the afternoon was super chilled with guests playing beer pong, soaking up the sun and….. One thing I loved about Jimmy and Georgina was they were up for anything even the bonkers stuff like recreating American Gothic.
After speeches it was time for the real show and between Jimmy and his friends he put on a show to rival Metallica at the Monster of Rock in ’91. This was an absolute blast and I love that this is becoming a bit more popular as its a guaranteed way to get people up and moving!
