Wyresdale Park Wedding Photographer ~ Laura & Alex
I’m writing this sat with blankets and hot water bottles to keep me warm, I’m freezing! Which is making blogging about this glorious summer wedding even harder. But let’s give it a shot and remember warmer days…
Wyresdale Park was a new venue for me and an absolute hidden gem in the heart of Lancashire. 3 stunning barns all nestled under 1 roof.
The morning preparations were super laid back and made even easier by having both parties being able to get ready in the same area! It’s always a big plus when there are rooms for the whole wedding party to get ready rather than just 1 set. Big advantage to Wyresdale.
The ceremony room at Wyresdale might be one of favourites, it’s a beautiful original barn that lets in tonnes of natural light and is adorned with floral decorations within the rafters. It’s stunning to say the least. I love super emotional weddings and as Laura came down the aisle, Alex couldn’t hold back the tears. It was a beautiful moment and one I’m very happy that I captured. Let’s have more emotional grooms in 2024!
The grounds are stunning and the perfect backdrop for wedding photos. We even managed to get Laura & Alex out on a little row boat on 1 of the lakes nearby. We wandered through the woods on the way back to the venue and in the heat of summer this was perfect for photos.
Speeches were equally filled with emotion, a mix of tears and laughter. The reception area has an upper mezzanine where guests can stand during the speeches which adds another level to venue.
The third barn is for the evening do and party time was well underway. I left here guys, as the music continued to play and the drinks flowed.
I cannot begin to thank everyone involved enough, it was a pleasure to capture such a gorgeous day!
